See how much cash you will have, month by month, and how long it lasts.
The forecast is part of the finance dashboard we set up for you in our financial monitoring. It reads your bookkeeping and your budget, so it shows your own figures only after that setup. Until then, Finance shows sample figures. The dashboard sits in the left sidebar, under the name we agree with you.
Read the cash balance chart
On Overview, the Cash balance chart shows your bank balance per month. The solid line is your actual balance up to today. The dashed line after it is the forecast from your budget. The note above the chart gives the opening balance and the first month cash would run short, or says there is no shortfall up to the end of the forecast.
The Runway card counts the months of cash left from the end of the last closed month. When the forecast never runs short, it reads No shortfall through and the last month.
Change what the forecast includes
The filter bar above the chart applies to every tab:
Scenario : the budget version, such as Base case .
Entity : one legal entity, or All .
Closed through : the last month with finished bookkeeping. Actuals run up to it, the budget takes over after it.
Currency : EUR or USD .
Compare with : a second scenario next to the first.
Pipeline donations : Include or Exclude donations you expect but have not received yet. They can move the line a lot, so the chart subtitle always says which you picked.
Projects : show some projects and leave others out.
Money in and out per month
The Cash flow tab holds the cash flow statement: what came in and went out each month, from your bookkeeping. Your bookkeeping connects under Integrations.
